No somos tu broker y no custodiamos tu dinero.

These terms govern the use of Mantarraya: the page, the bot generator and the /api/* routes. The bot files you download and run on your computer are part of the service.
1. Acceptance
By using Mantarraya you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The version published on this page governs it; by downloading a bot file or running it you accept the version in effect at that moment.
2. What the site offers and what it does not
Mantarraya shows quotes, exchange rates and news obtained from third-party sources, and generates an .mjs file that runs on your own computer and sends alerts to the channels you set up. The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability.
Mantarraya is not:
- A brokerage, a bank or a financial intermediary. We are not your broker and we do not hold your money.
- An official source of prices. The data comes from third parties and may be late or wrong.
- An investment service or a securities account. The bot only reads prices: it never places orders.
- A financial, tax or legal advisor. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell.
- A service with dedicated support. Support is by email and comes with no guaranteed response time.
3. Account and use of the site
The site asks for no account and no sign-up: it works without identifying you. If an account is offered in the future, it will be identified by an email address and will have its own terms, quotas and suspension rules, published here before we start asking for them.
The /api/* routes the page uses to fetch quotes, dollar rates, news and charts are internal: they are not a public API. There is no contract, no access key and no service level for third parties, and heavy use may be throttled. [PENDING: if public API access is offered, define the conditions of that access here (keys, quotas, prices, suspension).]
4. The bot you generate
The bot is generated in your browser, downloaded to your computer and run on your computer, at your own responsibility. You decide what to watch, how often and which channels to send to. If you close the terminal or turn off the computer, the bot stops sending updates; it is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
Keeping your tokens and keys safe (Slack, Teams, Discord, ntfy, your webhook, Google Sheets, Alpaca or OANDA), not sharing them and revoking the ones you no longer use is also your responsibility. If you use Alpaca or OANDA, the key must belong to your own practice account: the bot only reads prices from those services and never sends orders.
5. Data sources
Prices, dollar rates and news come from third parties: Yahoo Finance, Google News, Binance, Kraken, CoinGecko, ExchangeRate-API, Frankfurter (ECB), Alpaca and OANDA. Each one publishes its own terms and privacy notice: Yahoo Finance, Google News, Binance, Kraken, CoinGecko, ExchangeRate-API, Frankfurter, Alpaca and OANDA.
That data may be wrong, late, incomplete or unavailable, and the sources may change or stop answering without notice. It is not a financial source of truth. The bot does not make up figures: if a source fails, it says so or leaves it out. But it does not guarantee accuracy either. None of this is financial or investment advice: always verify with the official source before making a decision.
6. The alerts
The bot relies on those sources and on the channels you set up. There is no guarantee that an alert will arrive, arrive complete, arrive on time, or that a channel stays available. Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, ntfy, Google Sheets and your webhook may limit, filter or reject messages, and may stop working. The service is free and comes with no service level agreement.
7. Content, conduct and intellectual property
Do not use the site to flood it with automated requests, try to compromise it, or present its information as if it came from another person or institution. Headlines and links belong to their respective publishers: Mantarraya does not control or endorse them. Trademarks and names mentioned belong to their owners.
The site, the Mantarraya name, the logo and the bot template belong to their creator. [PENDING: name or corporate name of the owner of the code and of the trademark, and trademark registration details.] The content of the bot you generate is yours: the file you download is yours, you may modify and use it as you wish, and the text you write is yours. The code running on your computer is not transmitted to our servers, except as explained in the privacy notice.
8. Acceptable use and technical limits
These are the real limits of the service:
- Beatrice (the AI generator). Up to 5 requests every 10 minutes per visitor, and 40 requests per hour across all visitors. Each request is 5 to 600 characters and waits up to 60 seconds. If you run out of time, use manual or automatic mode.
- Your list on the page. Up to 10 symbols at a time.
- Each bot. Up to 15 watched assets, up to 20 price alerts, a movement threshold between 0.5 % and 50 %, and updates every 5, 15, 30, 60, 240 or 1440 minutes.
- The history on your computer. The CSV of alerts stops growing when it reaches about 5 MB.
- The price sources. Yahoo Finance, Binance, Kraken, Alpaca and OANDA enforce their own query limits and may reject a request. The bot cannot work around them.
9. Liability and limitation
The site and the bot are provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee that they are error-free, complete or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, the creator is not liable for indirect damages, for loss of data or profits, or for decisions you make based on the information shown here. Nothing in this section limits rights that Mexican law does not allow to be limited.
10. Use of AI models
Beatrice is an artificial intelligence that uses third-party models, running locally on the creator's computer. It can be wrong, misread what you write or return settings you do not want. That is why its result is never code: the site validates it against a closed list of options and shows it to you before you print. That review is yours, and no model output is a source of prices. Always verify data with the official source.
11. Indemnity
If a third party (a messaging platform, a publisher, a data source or any other service) claims against you because of how you use Mantarraya, the generated bots or the information you look up, you answer for that use, and not for facts attributable to the creator. This obligation does not apply to claims caused by a breach by the creator itself.
12. Privacy
Which data is stored, where and for how long is described in the privacy notice. In short: the bot runs on your computer and the Mantarraya server does not receive the model's answers, the content of the alerts or your tokens; the only things that travel to the server are the page's price and news requests and, if you use "Let Beatrice build it", the text you type.
13. Changes to the service and to these terms
We may change, improve, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, without prior notice. The service is free and comes with no guarantee of continuity: it may go down for maintenance, because a data source fails or for reasons outside our control. If the site moves, the bots notice on their own: they check once a day for a new version, verify the signature of every file and never install anything without your confirmation.
We may also change these terms. The version published on this page, with its last-update date, is the one that governs. If a change is important, we will say so on the page and, if needed, ask you to accept it again.
14. Termination
You can stop using the service whenever you want: just delete the bot file and the files the bot left in your folder, and close the sessions you opened in the channels you set up. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms, abuses the site or tries to compromise it. Obligations that by their nature must survive (privacy, limitation of liability and indemnity) remain in force after the service ends.
15. Governing law, jurisdiction and notices
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States and apply before the competent courts of Mexico. [PENDING: the relevant Mexican state and address for notices.] Notices by the creator are sent by email to saul_lopez@uadec.edu.mx; yours, to the same address.
16. Contact
For any question about these terms, about the site or about the bots, write to saul_lopez@uadec.edu.mx.
17. Source code and third-party licenses
Mantarraya is a static site built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no third-party dependencies, and the bot uses only Node.js built-in modules, which are distributed under the MIT license. The file you download ships with no external libraries. [PENDING: publish the project LICENSE file and the source repository address, and complete there the list of third-party licenses.] The data sources and the alerting services have their own terms: read them in section 5 of this page and in the privacy notice.
